Ulrika Pasch (10 July 1735 - 2 April 1796), also known as Ulla Pasch, was a Swedish painter and miniaturist. She was one of few female artists known in Scandinavia before the 19th century. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts (1773).
Ulrika Pasch was born in an artistic family, daughter of the painter Lorens Pasch the Elder, and sister of the future painter Lorens Pasch the Younger. Her uncle, Johan Pasch, was also a painter.
In the 1750s, when her brother was studying art abroad, her father's career declined severely, and Ulrika was forced to become a housekeeper in the home of her maternal aunt's widower. Her uncle however allowed her to spend a lot of time developing her artistic talent, and from 1756, she had become a professional portrait painter and was able to support her father and her sister in this way. After her father's death, she lived with her sister and set up her own studio.
When her brother returned to Sweden in 1766, she had been a professional artist for ten years and her clientele had moved from the middle class to the upper classes and the aristocracy. Ulrika Pasch and her brother then worked together as professional artists, shared their studio and guided each other in their work; their collaboration was one of mutual respect and harmony, and she is known to have helped him painting the textiles and costumes, a work he found tiring. Their baby-sister Helena Sofia (1744-96) took care of their household; she is described as somewhat talented in art as well, but she spent her life as her siblings "dutiful" house-keeper, and is said to have been deeply devoted to especially Ulrika.
RECCO, GiuseppeItalian Baroque Era Painter, 1634-1695
Son of Giacomo Recco. He was the most celebrated Neapolitan still-life painter of his day. He began in the tradition of his father and (probable) uncle Giovan Battista Recco, painting naturalistic arrangements of flowers, fish, game and kitchen scenes. There are many signed and dated works which chart the development of his style. The Bodeg?n with a Negro and Musical Instruments (1659; Madrid, Medibacoeli priv. col.), the Bodeg?n with Fish (1664; Paris, Moret priv. col.) and the Kitchen Interior (1675; Vienna, Ksthist. Mus.) are close to the art of Giovan Battista Recco. The fish and kitchen still-lifes are typically Neapolitan, yet Giuseppe's art is distinguished by the intensity with which he observes light and surface texture and by the clarity of the composition, based on a careful balance of horizontals and verticals. He moved toward a more Baroque and decorative style, and the unfinished Still-life with Fruit, Flowers and Birds (1672) and the Still-life with Fruit and Flowers

David von Krafft blev kallad till Sverige 1675 av hofkonterfejaren (hovmålaren) David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl, som dessutom var hans morbror och nu även blev hans lärare i den ädla konsten att måla. Senare studerade von Krafft vidare ett tiotal år i utlandet, särskilt i Italien, slutligen blev han Ehrenstrahls ersättare som hovmålare.
Nu fick han en massa beställningar och uppdrag och han målade sakliga och säkert tecknade porträtt, som tyvärr dock är ganska entoniga och kalla i koloriten. Bland hans bästa arbeten är porträttet av Karl XII (finns i Lund) samt av Carl Gustaf Armfeldt d.ä. (Drottningholms slott). I Kalmar domkyrka har han målat altartavlan (dock efter en komposition av en italiensk konstnär).
David von Krafft finns representerad vid Nationalmuseum, Malmö Museum, Göteborgs konstmuseum och på Gripsholm. Krafft hade ett stort antal lärjungar och bland dem Gustaf Lundberg och Olof Arenius.
